Book Summary: Amber is sick of her plain, boring life. So she befriends Daphne, the beautiful, lucky wife of the richest, handsomest man in Connecticut. But Amber has a plan: she’s slowly going to steal Daphne’s life.
Book Review: I really liked this book, particularly the Amber portion. It was cool and creepy how she slowly manipulated the people around her including the reader. There was also a great plot twist that I enjoyed reading. Personally, I would like it better without the last few chapters and it wasn’t the most well written book, but this was an entertaining, fun read.
Quotes: “Nobody would see her underwear, but she would now how sexy she looked underneath that dress, and it would make a difference in the way she felt.”
Spoilers: I loved the way that Amber manipulated the reader into thinking that what she was doing wasn’t horrible. I just wish the book ended with Daphne rekindling with her mom- the FBI and revenge plot just seemed unnecessary. I would rather be left not knowing what happened to Amber and Jackson, not knowing if the baby was a girl or boy, and just being left to infer that the two of them tortured one another.
